First problem: privacy. Elections must be anonymous, and entering your SSN removes the anonymity.
Second problem: fraud. If it is as easy as entering a valid SSN, anyone can call and enter your SSN. Then when you try to vote, you would be denied because your SSN has already been used. How do you prove that the first vote was not valid and the second attempt is? |
